Toast and Lemons

The golden light here has shifted—just slightly—but enough to feel the change.

This one’s based on my grandmother’s house in Bathurst. At the start of autumn, the sun would pour in low and warm, hitting the floorboards. I remember that kitchen always smelled like toast and lemons.
