Bold Foundations is a 5-day workshop designed to help you build confidence in the core principles of painting—composition, colour, tonal value, and loosening up. You’ll learn the techniques I use in my own work to create strong, expressive pieces that stand out.
We’ll be based in the studio with optional outdoor sessions (weather permitting), and the workshop is suitable for oils, acrylics, or gouache. Ideal for intermediate painters ready to sharpen their core skills.

Whether you're picking up the brush again after a break or looking to refine your existing work, this workshop offers a practical and encouraging space to move forward.
We’ll revisit foundational skills like composition, colour, and tonal value through a mix of daily prompts and open painting time. Bring your own projects or start fresh—there’s room for both. With plenty of one-on-one feedback and a relaxed, coastal setting, you’ll find support, structure, and space to develop your work at your own pace.
